Belle Isle Engagement Session - Michelle & Anthony

Belle Isle State Park - Detroit, Michigan

Michelle and Anthony met me at Belle Isle State Park, a first for me! I was in awe of the beauty of this hidden gem in the heart of Detroit, even in the dead of winter. Anthony, a Detroit native, was able to show me around, and helped pick out the best sites for he and Michelle's engagement session. We explored the conservatory, walked outside of the aquarium, and walked the grounds of the beautiful little island, stopping under a willow tree that had some gorgeous lighting. Little did we know, a goose had laid her eggs there, and walked right up to us, hissing, and expanding her chest to chase us away. Because it was such a beautiful spot, we were reluctant to leave, but mother goose made sure that we went far, far away from her nest. We finished our session with a walk along the river, and ending up at the famous water fountain, capturing every precious moment that went with it.

This session made me so excited for their wedding in August, but for now, I have these incredible images to share with you. Please enjoy this sneak peek of my first session on Belle Isle! I can't wait to go back! Interested in booking your own wedding or engagement session? Click here!
